As the years have gone by, we have strived to support athletes, clubs and coaches, promote Irish Cheerleading and Dance both nationally and internationally. We provide a family run event to display the amazing talents, skills, team camaraderie and competitive edge of athletes from Ireland and the U.K.
Competition Venue and Date :
21st & 22nd of March 2026
Kingfisher NUIG, Newcastle Rd, Galway
Tiny/Mini and Youth Cheer and Dance athletes will compete on Saturday 21st of March 2026.
Junior/Senior/Open and University Cheer and Dance Athletes will also compete on Sunday 22nd of March 2026.

The timer will start from the first choreographed motion to the final choreographed motion, or as soon as the music commences, to finish.
Coaches can prompt the Tiny/Mini’s routines only discreetly at the side of the judges' table, not hampering the judges' view.
Floor markings can be used for Tiny Divisions only.
Cheer rules are determined by IASF Rules 2025/26 & skill levels 0-7.
Please ensure you adhere to the IASF Cheer & Dance Rules and Guidelines.
We are going to be offering open ICU scoresheets for this event. You will be putting the best routine on the floor that you can compete. No Rubrics to set a routine to.

If you have sent in a legal query to the CSI, please keep the legal confirmation email from CSI to confirm its legality, including the video also submitted, to clarify the skill was performed as to the original video sent to IASF.
Group Stunt & Partner Stunts
No choreographed cheers, chants, tumbling, or jumps unless it is directly related to the entry/transitions/or exit from a stunt. All competitors must start with at least one foot on the ground.
The two athletes competing in Partner Stunt are not RESTRICTED to 1-male 1-female. (Clarification: Two females may compete together.) – Ensure all safety & legal roles are filled.
Judging System
Judges are under no circumstances whatsoever to be approached whilst a competition is ongoing in the arena, whether they are on the panel judging routines or not. Failure to comply with this rule will result in penalties for yourself and your program.
This season, Celtic Spirit will be using the ICU Open scoresheet.
The head judge will only deal with queries from the head coach of the program directly after the awards. The Head Judge and Safety Rules Judge are final.

Legality System
Head Judge/ Safety Judge will issue a text of any legal issues in advance of the award ceremony. One call out will also be made if they do not approach the table.
Head Coach has 10 minutes to approach the Safety judge once they receive the text/call out if they want to query their legality deduction and provide visual proof if required to the Safety judge.
Keep your phone with you, as we are unable to look for individual coaches of clubs.
Child protection and duty of care for athletes and spectators
All of the CS staff are Garda vetted and child protection trained, but it is the duty of
individual club’s child protection officer/parents/guardians to ensure the safety of
the children in their care while competing and on the venue grounds.
Any form of abuse will be reported and investigated by the relevant authorities, and
All clubs are advised to endorse their own club child protection policy and travel policy with athletes and spectators attending our event.
